The Effective Leader (pt 4)

As insecurity to lives and property in Nigeria continues unabated, the clarion call for creative solutions is overwhelming. The need now for the Effective Leader to take care of proceedings in Aso Villa couldn’t be more timely.

We, as a people, need to tell ourselves the truth and evolve overall positions that could create rooms for us to engage all our resource potentials for the collective good. Any leadership drive borne out of business as usual, in the circumstances, will spell doom for the nation.

The template on the Effective Leader we have been running, provides a rare opportunity for the national leadership recruitment process to reinvent itself for good.

Please read on and be well informed.

CAPACITY TO MANAGE CHANGE & CRISIS

Crisis is a time of great danger, difficulty or confusion. It often throws up entrepreneurial leadership. Crisis measures, develops and refines leadership, giving it responsible identity.
Trying times prove leadership. They expose the quality of leadership and bring out the hidden potentials, according to the late Bishop Miles Munroe.

CAPACITY FOR HONESTY AND SINCERITY OF PURPOSE IN ACTION, WORD AND DEED.

An upright and sincere man will attract the wholesome attention of many people in sheer admiration and sincere followership. He is a leader who does not lord it over the people he leads.
The Effective Leader would rather display disarming candour and unassuming humility in the service of his people.
In this context, a leader should do nothing through strife or vain glory. But he should rather selflessly commit himself to the ultimate good of the people, institutions and the environment.

CAPACITY TO SUSTAIN A DISDAIN FOR CORRUPTED WORLD SYSTEM.

The Effective Leader does not and would never subscribe to the elements of corrupted world system. And these include, nepotism, tribalism, racism, religious intolerance, misappropriation of productive resources, pride and hate, abuse of humanity, privilege and due process, etc.
The Effective Leader conducts the affairs of leadership on the basis of good conscience. And consequently, he will not subscribe to or be guided by the counsel of the wicked. He is distrustful of suggestions and pieces of advice that could ultimately hurt the welfare of the people.
The man or woman who would foot the bill as effective leader would never succumb to self-serving opinions, no matter the source. He abhors covetousness..

  1. I am of the opinion that Leadership aspirants and the current Leadership in Nigeria at all levels will be better oriented if they lend themselves to the dictates of THE EFFECTIVE LEADER Series.
Despite the seeming Leadership Scourge in our political firmament, I still believe that ” The beautiful ones have been born”, and they are right here with us. We await their Emergence.
